Your support matters

Why we need you

Camphill Village West Coast is home to adults with intellectual disabilities who need lifelong care, structure and belonging. Many of our residents are indigent, without family support or financial means. As a working farm community, we strive for sustainability through our dairy, kitchen, gardens and other enterprises. However, the cost of care, medical support, housing and infrastructure far exceeds what we can generate on our own.

Your donation helps bridge that gap, ensuring no one is left behind.

Flexible ways to show your support

There are many meaningful ways to support Camphill Village West Coast. Whether you choose to give today, sponsor a resident, support a project, attend an event or leave a legacy for the future, your contribution helps ensure lifelong care, dignity and belonging.

Leave a legacy

Leaving a bequest

A bequest is a gift left in your will, to take effect after your lifetime.

Camphill Village has been a home since 1964. Many of the adults who live here are indigent, without family support or financial means, and they will need this village for the rest of their lives. A bequest is a way of making sure it is still here for them.

We cannot advise you on your will, and we would not try to. Your attorney or financial adviser draws it up with you. What we can do is answer any question you have about the village and about what a gift would go towards, and give your adviser whatever they need from our side.

Other ways to help

Not every kind of help is money

Time, skills, a day on the farm and a shopping basket all keep the village going too.

  • Volunteer, or bring a group out

We are always on the lookout for volunteers with experience in arts, crafts or other activities to be part of our weekly recreational programme. Groups are welcome too: about 120 boys from Bishops spent a day working on the farm over Mandela Day in July 2026.

Tell us what you have in mind
  • Join a project

Residents and co-workers run the farm, the dairy, the kitchen, the gardens and the cosmetics workshop together. If there is one you would like to be part of, our fundraiser will point you at the right person.

    Ask about a project
  • Join a fundraiser

We hold events through the year, and they are announced on our news page as the dates are set.

    See what is coming up
  • Buy what the village makes

Camphill Naturals body oils, soaps, deodorants and lip balms are made here, and our dairy's yoghurt, milk, cream and butter come from our own herd. Every one of those sales supports the work of the village.

    Shop Camphill Naturals
  • Come to the market

Our country market runs on the first Sunday of every month except January, from 10am to 3pm, on the farm at Klein Dassenberg.
