Camphill Village has been hosting Young Volunteers for the past twenty years and count these young individuals as an essential part of the village life. Their youth and diversity adds a much needed freshness and joy to the lives of the Residents.
We offer a year programme where young people volunteer to work alongside, assist and live with our Residents and Co-Workers at Camphill Village. This programme is offered to both international and local young people between the ages of 18 and 25.
Young Volunteers that have completed the programme have had the following things to say:
"Makes you extend your boundaries. Learn about dealing with and experiences various kinds of people. Learnt about other cultures. Learnt skills in bakery."
"I would absolutely do it again because I didn't know what I wanted to do. Wasn't ready to study. Good year experience."
"Nice experience. A lot of experience in all fields such as: gardening, repairs, farming, etc. Experience with the residents, learning to cope with different situations. Lots of diverse experience. Enjoyed being part of the play, it was the first time I have ever acted. I wouldn't have been able to have this kind of opportunity in Germany."
