A Sunny February Market
We had a gorgeous day for our February market last Sunday, sunny with a cool breeze for a perfect summer atmosphere and pleasant market browsing. We enjoyed seeing many regular market visitors back after the holiday break, as well as new faces, filling their baskets with dairy products in our shop, and crusty loaves of bread and freshly baked rusks at our bakery stall. Brunches and lunches were enjoyed at the cafe tables in the shade, from coffee and cake, to bacon and egg rolls, pancakes and fresh salads.
Our cosmetics workshop was busy, with our jojoba oil flying off the shelves, (this being from our 2014 harvest, as this year's recently picked
jojoba beans are still drying in the sun, before being hand-shelled in the workshop and eventually pressed at the perfect time to extract the most oil later this year). And our charity shop, now established in the craft workshop, provided plenty of finds for those with a keen eye for a bargain.

Our stage area was looking fresh and inviting, all ready for our March market, when we will have live music playing there. The large open area around the stage, newly cleared by
Mamma Gogo, will be available for shady picnics and a safe children's entertainment area and we'll be inviting market traders to expand into that area too, so we're looking forward to a wonderful new energy growing at our next few markets.
We would like to say a sad goodbye to regular market vendors Bobby & Eleanore, who are moving to the UK. Your bright bubbly personalities and great finds will be missed. We wish you every success in your future endeavors.
Our next market will be Sunday 1st March 10am-2pm. We look forward to welcoming you to Camphill Village then!
