Family Friendly Festival

Our Off the Grid festival has made its name as a relaxed, family-friendly outdoor concert, where you can picnic under the trees, get friends together to dance or chill, let kids run about in safe farm surroundings and soak up the good vibes and fabulous music. There will be great food, a beer and wine tent, our regular monthly market stalls and we offer free overnight camping and free safe parking for the duration of the festival.

Green Ethos

In line with Camphill’s sustainable biodynamic philosophy we aim to make the event as green as possible. A group of festival goers will cycle from Cape Town to the event and various other green initiatives will be added to the agenda. Our self-sufficient farm borehole provides sweet potable water, which festival goers camping overnight are encouraged to use wisely, we provide recycling facilities, and encourage those driving to the event to car-pool or share an Uber.

Food and Drink

A variety of independent food trucks and food stalls will be selling everything from burgers, shwarma and waffles to vegan treats, juices and coffee.

We’ll have a Camphill food stall providing boerewors rolls ... and campers staying over. Wake up to sizzling breakfast bacon and egg rolls and filter coffee.

SAB are providing a beer tent, with a selection of their draught and craft beers, plus wines and ciders.

Please note: please don’t bring your own alcoholic drinks, only alcohol purchased from the bar tent may be consumed on the premises.

Market

Our regular monthly market vendors will be joining us for the festival, so in between acts you can shop for crafts, eco-friendly products, food products, toys, as well as a selection of Camphill’s own natural skincare products.

Free Camping

Two marked areas are available for those wishing to camp overnight. One area beside the dam near the festival grounds and another by the comminty centre for those in camper vans or wishing to pitch their tent near their car.

Free Safe Parking

We have ample secure parking available within Camphill Village, within easy walking distance of the festival grounds. The earlier you arrive the closer you can be!

Kids Safe Zone

There will be a supervised, enclosed play area for kids with a jumping castle and plenty of fun games, where little ones can be booked in at any stage during the festival.
